When I'm shopping (which is often) my number one rule (even though I don't follow it as often as I should) is to think of three ways I can wear something before I actually buy it.
If I can successfully think of multiple ways to style a top, shoes, or an earring then I give myself the go ahead to buy the item. If not I'll probably buy it anyways but it's good to have a guideline ;)
When it comes to jewelry I really do try my best to follow this rule. If you were to look in my jewelry box you would see that it's not too full.
I have a very limited amount of jewelry that is of a higher price point, and the jewelry that is on the inexpensive side includes more statement pieces.
Today I want to give you guys some ideas of ways you can wear that piece you think you can only get one use out of so never bought.
This earring is definitely more simple and dainty so it's a bit less complicated to style.
These earrings are the perfect go to earring for a little black or white dress paired with a heel for a formal event.
What some may not realize is that they're equally as great to pair with a white T shirt and black denim on a casual day. The drop pearl adds a bit more pizzazz to any outfit.
The drop pearl on this earring actually stems from the earring backing. This means that if you just wear the backs from another pair of earrings you own its instantly transformed into a pearl stud.
If you're feeling a little more adventurous you can even mix and match and add the pearl backing on to another stud, perhaps a diamond.
Silver Pearl Dangle Earrings $77
The Union Necklace with Tourmaline is one of my favourites. It's simple but dramatic. It's noticeable but not overwhelming.
The chain is available in an 18", 20", and 22" inch long chain in sterling silver , or antique sterling silver.
Any of these lengths are perfect for a v-neck neckline but the longer the chain the more you can do with it!
Versatility is key and the Union Necklace can also be worn as a bracelet if you wrap the chain around your hand.

You may have already noticed but if you haven't...hoop earrings are back and they're huge.
The Merla hoops are plated with 18K gold and can be worn with or without the brass bar going down the middle.
I would wear these earrings with a black turtleneck or a cool white blouse and loafers during the week and carry them into the weekend by wearing a bodysuit and cool denim to go out in.

I'm very into arty and minimal jewelry right now so this abstract earring set by Emily Valentine is right up my alley.
It comes in both silver (rhodium plated) and gold (14K gold plated) and can be worn in several different ways.
All the pieces from the earring come apart so you can mix it up and create your own design. From wearing it as an ear jacket to making something more asymmetrical it's all up to you!
This piece would be great with a super cool black dress and white booties or a denim on denim look!
Abstract Earring Set by Emily Valentine $95
There is always a way to make any piece work in multiply ways, it all depends on how you style it!
